Micro-Breaks: stretch routine

Micro-breaks should be taken every 30 minutes when working at computers or work stations for long durations. 


This routine stretches common areas of over-use stress and aim to prevent pain and injury. 

Neck and Upper Back: Stretching

Hold stretches for 20 seconds while breathing

Stretch each muscle 2 times per session

Can repeat 2-3 times per day


Neck and upper back: strengthening

  • Can complete each exercise daily
  • As you get stronger, increase the intensity of the squeeze during body weight exercises to maximize results
  • Remember to breathe throughout
